Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their Perth-based client for an exciting newly created position of Financial Controller. Salary is up to £60,000 depending on experience + up to 10% annual bonus & 5% matched pension. This is an exciting office-based position responsible for setting up and improving the financial & operational performance of a newly acquired business within a blue-chip group.
Your new role
Reporting to an off-site Finance Director and working as part of the on-site senior management team, you will be responsible for setting up and improving the financial and operational performance of the company through the provision of accurate financial information that enables the commercial and operational teams to make strategic decisions. You will process monthly management accounting including variance analysis, prepare various financial month-end reports and complete the year-end statutory accounts. You will complete financial analysis, weekly forecasting and play a key role in the annual budget process. You will finance business partner with various internal & external stakeholders and be involved in system & process implementation & improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant, however qualified by experience individuals with the right skills set will be considered. You will be able to demonstrate commercial business acumen and have hands-on experience in financial & data analysis. You will have excellent reporting and communication skills and have the ability to foster good working relationships with colleagues.
