Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be supporting a large, multinational organisation in the Worcester area as they look to appoint a driven and ambitious Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Working within their Management Accounting team, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including plant performance reporting, unit cost calculation, material controlling and maintaining standard costs. You will also support production management to make decisions and maintain high-quality reporting.

Key duties:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly reports
  • Calculate efficiencies and conduct follow-ups
  • Prepare and analyse forecasts and business planning
  • Conduct review meetings with plant management
  • Analysis of production performance
  • Financial analysis on overhead spendings
  • Presentation of results to Senior Management
  • Direct personnel capacity and cost planning
  • Material cost controlling
  • Maintain accounting views, standard costs and cost rates in ERP system

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACCA/CIMA studier - QBE candidates may be considered providing relevant experience can be demonstrated
  • Previous experience of working in a management accounting role
  • Manufacturing background and knowledge of plant/cost accounting would be highly advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient with ERP systems (SAP preferable)
