  • Utilise technology tools such as Alteryx, Power Query, and Power BI to help clients to automate accounting and reporting processes and solve complex accounting and reporting issues.
  • Preparation of accounting position papers, accounting analyses, historical financial information, financial statements, and carve-out accounts.
  • The ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, problem solve, self review your work and produce deliverables of a high quality under tight client deadlines in time pressured environments
  • Agile adaptation to new tools and practices in data analytics as part of continuous professional development.

Essential skills and qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant certification.
  • Experience in accounting, preferably with an audit background or CMAAS/deals experience.
  • Proficiency to an intermediate level with extensive day to day use and/or certifications in Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools
  • At an intermediate level or higher - can give examples / ideally demos of what they have built.
  • Proficiency in Excel to advanced level - can give examples / ideally demos of what they have built.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and manage technical accounting issues.
  • Agility in learning and mastering new data analytics tools and accounting technologies on the job.
  • Financial modelling experience and/or US GAAP experience is beneficial, but not critical

Desirable skills:
  • Comfortable with technology-driven problem-solving in accounting and reporting.
  • Innovative thinking capabilities to develop new solutions for complex accounting and reporting challenges.
