Management Accountant
Permanent / Full Time
£30-35,000 per annum

This role will see you join the senior management team of this iconic local organisation. Reporting to the Group Management Accountant and providing support to two Finance Assistants, your duties will include;

  • Variance analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Preparation, monitoring and management of budgets and forcasts
  • Management of the Accounts Payable and receivable functions and supervision of ledger clerks
  • Business partnering across various departments to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely MI
  • Participation in management and board meetings
  • Providing relevant and succinct commentary as part of the month end reporting process
  • Supporting internal and external Audit process
  • Driving continuous improvement across all departments

We are looking for a person with significant exposure to an accountancy and finance team and environment, who can display their initiative and drive the financial performance of the group. Although this role will require minimal "hands on" ledger work, it would be advantageous to have a lot of experience in that area.... you will be providing support to the ledger team and it would be good if you can understand the complexities and challenges of these areas. You will need to have a good grasp of computerised accountancy systems. This role would really suit an ACCA studier (they will consider study support, post probation!) but would equally suit a QBE! 100% office based but with great facilities on site and free parking.
