Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a rapidly growing and progressive manufacturing group to recruit a driven and dynamic Finance Business Partner to join their team, based in the outskirts of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Reporting to the Head Of Finance with the purpose of supporting operational colleagues in providing first-class financial information, that allows them to drive business performance. An opportunity that will give great exposure to how the business works and how strong processes can really impact and make a difference to the group and decision-making.

Your new role

Key duties will involve building relationships with Supply Chain, Operations and Planning functions to take joint ownership with the business for the delivery of financial targets. Preparation of Inventory and Indirect cost projections to support the Forecasting and Budget cycles, month-end responsibilities ensuring accuracy and integrity of the financial data. Along with variance Analysis between Actuals, Prior Year, Budget, and Forecast including root cause analysis and providing recommendations for corrective action. You will guide and support site leadership teams by challenging them to test decision-making, contribute to monthly business reporting including finance pack and driving results actions, maintaining cost controls, and identifying areas of weakness to minimise risk. You will play an influential role in relevant management meetings, evaluate make vs buy decisions, ad-hoc analysis/projects, and support the Head Of Finance in driving process improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this permanent and progressive Finance Business Partner role, you will be at least part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience, with proven experience within a similar position. Independently minded with high levels of personal integrity, seeking to learn/develop in your career, with strong communication skills to build effective working relationships at all levels. You will have strong MS Excel skills, ideally with financial modelling or scenario evaluation experience, possess the ability to influence and challenge decisions, and be used to working in a fast-paced organisation. Experience dealing with inventory and with a manufacturing sector background would be advantageous but not essential.

This permanent Finance Business Partner role is offering a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependable on experience, based outskirts of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
