Your new company

Our client is a fast-growth business experiencing dynamic change.

Your new role
The Group Financial Accountant role is an important cornerstone of the Group Financial Control team, providing a central hub of financial expertise while supporting the finance teams, ensuring robust controls and regulatory adherence. Specifically, you will work with finance teams to drive continuous control improvements and a 'best practice' control environment, as well as coordinate with finance teams to ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met on an accurate and timely basis. A key part of your remit will be the coordination and production of all Group Statutory Accounts, and you will work closely with the tax team to coordinate and review all tax matters within the Group, including Corporation Tax and VAT. As Group Financial Accountant, you will work with external and internal auditors to agree audit timetables and communicate to finance teams and provide audit support where necessary. Monthly reporting and financial compliance of Holding Company and dormant entities as well as providing accounting expertise and support to drive the successful integration of businesses and legal entity rationalisation programme will all form part of your role.

This is a twelve-month fixed-term contract with an expected start date in September or early October 2024.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong technical skill set and a good understanding of reporting standards (mainly FRS102). You will be able to build effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients across the Group at all levels of the organisation and be highly collaborative with the ability to adapt your style, think on your feet and have a can-do mentality. Strong numeracy skills with the ability to convert data into actionable insights to inform proposals and influence financial matters are essential.

What you'll get in return
This is an opportunity to join a highly successful and growing business, working as part of a dynamic and enthusiastic team.

You will have access to a wide range of benefits.

Hybrid working is available with an expectation of a minimum of 1-2 days a week in the office in Witney.
