Job Details

Are you an experienced Markets or Treasury professional looking for your next opportunity?

We’re looking for brilliant and enthusiastic individuals to join a fantastic Group Corporate Treasury team at Director / Senior Manager level.

Group Corporate Treasury is a team of around 300 people, predominantly based across London and Leeds. It operates a shared service function, managing and advising across all business units and legal entities within the Group. The scope of treasury is broad and covers all matters relating to the effective management of the Group’s balance sheet and its financial resources, including capital, liquidity and market risk.

You'll be joining a diverse team, in a fast-paced environment, with scope to learn, develop and influence! With significant opportunities for access to senior management, you’ll build your network across the organisation whilst taking a lead role in high profile work for Lloyds Banking Group. This is a great role for an individual who thrives in thought-leadership, influencing senior colleagues, and joining the dots across multiple areas of activity.

Day to day you could be involved in any of the following, and we’d love to hear what interests you most:

  • Managing the capital and liquidity position of the Group and its subsidiaries including setting risk appetite, planning in base and stress, issuance and allocation.
  • Liquidity and market risk management for the Group and its subsidiaries, including interest rate and FX hedging and managing our Liquid Asset Portfolio.
  • Capital markets activity including the issuance of bonds and strategies for optimisation of our equity and debt stack including structuring share buy backs.
  • Leading key regulatory submissions such as the ILAAP, ICAAP and our Recovery and Resolution planning for the Group, to ensure we’re prepared should we ever face a likelihood of failure.
  • Manage our divisional engagement and provide insight and challenge across a range of areas, including product pricing, development and returns analysis.
  • Supporting the treasury activities of our non-bank entities, including LBG Equity Investments Limited and Scottish Widows Group including strategic optimisation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll gain exposure to the end-to-end treasury business, working alongside subject matter experts with significant opportunity to lead treasury through all economic cycles. We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience of working in financial markets, treasury, or senior finance roles.
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Strong collaboration skills, including a proactive approach to building and maintaining relationships across a range colleagues.
  • High-energy, solution-orientated, self-motivated and show intellectual curiosity.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to convey seemingly complex concepts simply and succinctly.
  • Confident in formulating and presenting proposals and recommendations to senior management.
