Your new company
I am currently working with a chartered accountancy firm based in London. They provide first-class accounting and tax advice to their clients. The clients range from businesses, to high net-worth individuals who reside in the UK and outside. The firm prides themselves on being trusted advisors and works closely with their clients to give them the best service possible. The firm offers services such as corporate and OMB Support, VAT advice, international tax consulting and more.

Your new role
The role you are applying for is a personal tax manager role within the firm. The role has come about from pure growth, and they feel now is a good time to bring in another tax manager to help with the growing workload the firm is acquiring. In this role you will be managing a portfolio of personal tax and high net-worth individuals, and provide tailored tax planning advice. You will also be managing and mentoring junior members of staff on their journey through the firm, and through their qualifications. The role will have you preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and advising on areas such as income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trust tax.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will need prior personal tax experience.
  • You must have prior UK tax experience
  • Ideally, you will have practice tax experience.
  • Ideally, you will have probate, inheritance tax and trust experience, but this is not mandatory.
  • Ideally, you will be tax qualified.
