Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their client based just outside of Elgin for an experienced Accountant or Assistant Accountant to join their small & busy team. The client will consider part-qualified, fully qualified & qualified by experience individuals and therefore, are offering a broad salary of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. This position will also consider full-time & part-time individuals (minimum of 28 hours a week) and is based working within the office.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will collaborate with management and other company departments to carry out your accounting duties. You will assist with the completion of monthly management accounts, monthly reporting and in the preparation of the annual budget. You will complete journals including prepayments & accruals and complete the fixed asset register. You will complete bank & balance sheet reconciliations and assist with the year-end audit. You will also complete various other more bespoke financial responsibilities, including reporting & some administration.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Assistant Accountant or Accountant who has completed a variety of financial responsibilities. You will have excellent IT skills including Excel. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work accurately to strict deadlines. You will be a good all-rounder who is happy to complete varied financial responsibilities at all levels.
