Your new company
A well respected charity with amazing charitable aims, based in North Surrey/South London offers hybrid working (3 days a week in the office and 2 from home) to an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager and Financial Controls Assurance specialist.

Your new role
In this position you will be implementing and managing an effective Risk Management framework for the organisation and increasing Financial Controls Assurance for them.
You will be working with the leadership team in a high-profile capacity, and communicating Risk and Assurance plans, policies and procedures across the organisation.
You will undertake deep-dive assessments on financial controls, to provide assurance in this area.
You will attend the Audit & Risk Committee and other board committees to present on risk and assurance.
You will monitor and report on the implementation of agreed management actions designed to strengthen risk mitigation strategies / close compliance gaps and provide assurance on these to the leadership team and trustees.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have a financial background and may be a qualified Accountant or Internal Auditor with financial controls experience. (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, IIA, CIA)
You will have wide-ranging Enterprise Risk experience gained ideally, working in a charity or Public Sector organisation.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to translate complex ideas to a wide range of colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
You will have project management skills and a good understanding of business continuity planning within an organisation.

What you'll get in return

Salary £55-60000 neg
