Your new company
A divisional organisation on the outskirts of Southampton, specialising in engineering and infrastructural services requires a proactive Financial Controller to join them on a permanent basis.


Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director and deputising as required as part of this divisional finance function, you will ensure you develop strong relationships to cultivate influence across the wider business you support. As team leader, you will be conscious of future workforce planning, staff development and resource allocation.
You will manage transactions and final accounts prep for multiple entities, as well as considering and providing cashflow forecasts to the group. You will manage the timely monthly completion of contract cost reporting and consolidation of contract costs into a monthly Operations Report. In terms of budgeting & forecasting, you will manage the timetable, completion, and reporting of all periodic forecasts, ensuring they are robust and can be fully explained.

Other duties include; being the main audit contact, supporting the wider transactional finance team, and working with external systems providers to ensure effective IT and data management processes are in place as they relate to the finance function.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have previous experience in an infrastructure, construction, engineering or similar environment. You will be a qualified, development focussed leader, with an ability to shape career paths within the team.

What you'll get in return
£65,000 - £80,000 pa plus a range of benefits.
