We are working with a highly entrepreneurial business that has sites across the North West and Midlands to help them recruit a Finance Business Partner.

Your new role
This role will give you a huge degree of autonomy and the flexibility of working from home when you are not visiting your commercial colleagues on site.
You will work closely with highly commercial sales and operations teams to provide insight and challenge with the aim of improving business performance.
Key Tasks include:

  • Proactive Finance Business Partner providing support, challenge, and insight to the general manager of each site within your remit
  • To deliver timely, accurate & relevant financial information, analysis and commentary to key stakeholders including:
  • Weekly and monthly P&L reporting
  • Monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Annual budgets
  • Variance analysis
  • KPI's
  • Benchmarking
  • Ad-hoc analysis to drive business performance
  • Provide commercial support to General Managers focussing on understanding and explaining business performance variances and identifying risks and opportunities to enable delivery of their targets
  • Develop, rigorously challenge, and question the budget/forecast assumptions and KPIs on an on-going basis, and report this to the Branch Managers and Divisional Team
  • Provide insight into customer and sales team performance


What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant with extensive business partnering experience. You should have demonstrable experience of working closely with operational teams and of challenging the norm to add commercial value.
You should be a strong communicator and have a passion for helping a business to grow and improve.
There is travel within the North West and Midlands with the role so you should be prepared to travel 1 or 2 days per week.
