Payroll Assistant - Circa £26k per annum - Permanent role based in Liverpool A fantastic opportunity to join this leading institution, committed to excellence in education and research. This public sector organisation is looking to recruit a payroll assistant initially on temporary basis with potential for this to be extended. You will join this established team on a full time basis, working 35 hours per week.

Your new roleSome of the day-to-day duties will include running the payroll and conducting regular checks of processing bank payments, running payroll and pension reports and returns in line with statutory requirements and deadlines (including P11d, Year End reconciliations. You will be working closely with the wider payroll operations team to ensure things are conducting in an efficient manner, reporting directly into the payroll manager, you will need to have good organisational skills and computer skills with experience working with Excel, Word and MS Outlook and HR, Payroll systems and Finance systems. Desired skills, using Resource Link and Oracle finance systems.

What you'll need to succeedShow initiative be able to work well within a team and show flexibility with assisting with ad hoc requests. Be efficient when working to tight payroll deadlines and complete work to a high level of accuracy. You will also demonstrate strong communication skills through supporting the wider payroll team and employees with general payroll enquiries.
