An enthusiastic and driven tax accountant is required to join the Corporate Tax team within a leading firm, based in either Norwich or Ipswich with hybrid working.

You will be managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients and giving tax planning advice, drafting Self-Assessment tax returns, reviewing the returns prepared by colleagues and providing proactive tax planning advice to clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of Corporate Tax Self-Assessment tax returns
  • Reviewing corporate tax returns and computations prepared by team members
  • Supporting the tax managers / partners
  • Assisting with tax advisory work
  • Managing workload and client expectations
  • Working within budgets set at the planning stage
  • Overseeing staff in preparation of tax returns and computations, providing training where required and assisting with their development
  • Ensuring the efficient use of appropriate software packages
  • Maintain a good working relationship with clients
  • Have an active role in business development, and promoting the firm in the local area

Education and qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, CTA (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience within practice
  • Experience of preparation of corporate tax returns
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing technically complex advice
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
