Job Details

Your new company is an established SME based on one of the Business Parks on the outskirts of Newbury.

Your new role will report to the Finance Director and your responsibilities will include

  • Reconciliation and understanding of all balance sheet accounts, produce monthly management accounts and supplementary information as required for two entities
  • Utilise budgets and other tools to analyse variances and reconcile payments applied against major contract values
  • Monitor cash positions and anticipate future cash requirements
  • Oversee and review monthly construction progress claims and development payment requests
  • Monitor and review monthly receivables for accuracy, adjustments and/ or corrections
  • Monitor and review accounts payable coding for accuracy
  • Support Credit controller as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 4-5 years accounting experience
  • Sage Line 50 (desirable but not essential)
  • Intermediate to advance Excel - minimum Vlookup and pivot tables
  • Good communication skills - face to face, email and telephone
  • Fully competent in Microsoft O365 applications,
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Team Player
