Hays Senior Finance are exclusively partnering with a quite fantastic charity based in Stroud who provide free care, 365 days a year for adults in Gloucestershire living with a life-limiting illness and support for their loved ones and carers. In the year of 22/23 they supported over 1633 patients, family members and carers. We are recruiting for a Financial Controller who will report into the board and play an instrumental part in the growth and progress of the charity.

Prioritise of the role

  • Support the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team and Trustees in growing the organisation.
  • Provide sound leadership and direction for the financial management of the organisation, including supporting the development of strategy, long-term financial forecasts, reviewing infrastructure and business modelling as part of the Management Team.
  • Take responsibility for insurance and all major contracts.
  • Act as Head of Finance, providing leadership to the Finance Team.
  • Develop the culture of the organisation in line with high standards of professionalism, quality, accountability, and cost-effectiveness.
