Our client, a leading reputable manufacturing company, has a new job opportunity for a qualified accountant to join them as Senior Finance Business Partner.
Your new role
The Senior Finance Business Partner - Operations will lead the Financial Performance Management process within operations, ensuring appropriate business analysis is provided to identify opportunities, risks and trends, along with analysis to ensure that operational decisions are supported by comprehensive financial analysis to influence the operational business to deliver against its strategic objectives.Key duties will be varied and include:- Partner with the Operations Leadership team to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all operational spending, raising challenges and driving course correction, based on financial and commercial information.* Be an active member of the operational leadership team, ensuring your opinions are heard using functional and leadership knowledge to influence decision-making in areas of financial impact.* Provide financial input and challenge into project work including capital and Continuous Improvement projects, improvement in operational reporting, business analysis, system changes.-Lead the Budget and Forecasting process within operations, including the development of the 5-year plan.* Provide sound financial guidance to budget holders to support the development of Operational Business Plans (5YP, Budget, quarterly forecasts) that underpin strategic goals.* Identify the operational KPIs which underpin the successful plan delivery and ensure the alignment with the financial objectives.What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • The ability to adhere to deadlines and adopt a challenging approach to deliver robust, accurate financial data and information to meet business needs.
  • Experience in the analysis of complex financial information using financial modelling tools.
  • Sound judgement and ability to make evidence-based recommendations.
  • The ability to cut through ambiguity to provide insight.
  • The ability to develop alternative scenarios for financial/commercial issues.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and use of an ERP
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and transfer it into meaningful financial information for use in business decision-making is required.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and resilient, able to proactively identify issues and drive delivery of solutions. Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and business partnering skills, especially in cross-functional contexts
