My client is an international manufacturing and distribution company. They have enjoyed sustained year-on-year growth, and a recent exciting project of expansion through acquisition in Europe and Asia.

Your new role
A rare opportunity for a Finance Manager/ Financial Controller has become vacant within their Accounts Team in Scunthorpe. This is a great opportunity to lead and shape the finance function.

Your key duties will include:

  • Oversee the financial operations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies, controls, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Lead and supervise a team of finance and accounting professionals.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
  • Analyse financial performance and forecast longer-term horizons.
  • Recommend cost-reducing and profit-maximising measures.

What you'll need to succeed

  • CIMA/ACCA qualification
  • Hands-on attitude, with gravitas to work through a complex environment
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/ distribution industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial processes.
  • Excellent understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in the use of finance software.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
