Your new company
Hays are currently working with a regulator based in Birmingham, who are looking for a Senior Audit Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
This is a Director level, advisory role, where you will provide Audit expertise to support with high-profile, complex casework and investigations.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in identifying issues of potential non-compliance with the regulatory framework
  • Assisting investigation case teams to determine key focus areas
  • Liaising with forensic accountants and lawyers during the investigation and advising on any changes
  • Reviewing sections of complex audit files
  • Advising case teams on the seriousness/significance of breaches identified
  • Helping investigations to progress in a fair and professional manner

What you\'ll need to succeed

  • You will be a qualified accountant with substantial experience at director level (acting as a responsible individual).
  • Have strong technical auditing and accounting skills
  • Have a good understanding of the requirements of a regulatory or disciplinary process
  • Be skilled at explaining complex accounting and auditing concepts to a varied audience
