A leading firm of highly accomplished accountants with offices based in the West Midlands, requires a VAT assistant Manager/Manager to join their forward-thinking team. This is a very exciting time to join the firm and embark on a journey of further success.
Your new role
As a VAT Manager, you will be advising your clients on a whole range of VAT matters from registration, through to VAT planning, and compliance, providing them with sound guidance on a variety of VAT issues. Your everyday tasks will also include liaising with HMRC, and ensuring that all issues are dealt with on behalf of your clients (and occasionally your team). There is a requirement for candidates to ensure that they keep up to date with the VAT legislation and are aware of any relevant changes that may impact them/their clients. As a manager, you will also be asked to work closely with your colleagues helping them where needed (this includes any further training) and keep in touch with the firm's Directors.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have an excellent understanding of general VAT legislations and regulations, with a willingness to learn and keep up to date with any changes made. You will have excellent communication skills and be a self-motivated individual who is efficient and hard-working.
