My client, a leading European Bank with an international presence and over 100 years of history, is looking for a Credit Underwriter to join their growing London branch. This bank has a significant established clientele and strong existing infrastructure, as well as a supportive and welcoming culture to new employers, making it the perfect opportunity for you to join and progress both personally and professionally.
In this role, your key responsibilities will be supporting the mission of the Lending department, providing credit services including cash management, transaction banking, treasury and financing products, while preparing all the credit applications of all the bank's units. The bank exclusively workers in the Real Estate and Property sectors. Their portfolio exceeds £200m and covers commercial, residential, mixed use, office and hotel, among others. Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Prepare all credit application material for submission to the relevant Credit Committees. Liaise with RM's to gather all sufficient information for annual reviews, amendments or new requests.
  • Execute Corporate Banking client's transactions (FX deals, payments, Letters of Credit, etc)
  • Update where necessary client's legal documentation in liaison with the Account Officers and Client Documentation Unit
  • Input or update client's data (KYCP) wherever necessary



To succeed in this role, you will need the following requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent in Economics, Banking/Finance or Legal. Post-grad degrees will be considered an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Lending/Credit
  • While not absolutely necessary, both fluency in Greek and certain external qualifications (CFA, MiFID etc) are extremely beneficial in any application.
