A large public organisation based in the Preston area. This is a great opportunity to join a organisation where your career can thrive. You\'ll get exposure to several different operational areas so can hone your skills as a business partner under the mentorship of an experienced business partner and manager.

Your new role
For your allocated operational areas, your duties will include:
Act as Finance Business Partner for the Budget holders
Serve as a member of the local management team for the operational area
Work closely with budget holders to support with financial analysis to aid decision making.
Modelling of costs and scenario planning
Business case appraisal and support for any commercial tenders.
Assist with strategic planning.
Work with wider finance team to ensure accurate reporting and improved processes.

What you\'ll need to succeed
You should be either a part-qualified accountant or a qualified accountant with experience of business partnering, or of working with non finance operational teams.
Experience of budget setting in a complex organisation.
You should have good analysis skills and a high competency on Excel.
You will also be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of management reporting of financial information.
