Your new company
An established provider of construction services in the UK, with a portfolio of projects are looking for a divisional finance manager to join their team and oversee the financial performance and reporting requirements within one of their divisions.
Your new role
You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of finance professionals, ensuring they deliver high-quality and timely financial information and analysis. Furthermore, you and your team will prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements for the division; provide financial support and guidance to the divisional director and operational managers, as well as contributing to the strategic planning and decision-making of the division and the wider company. You will also identify and implement improvements and efficiencies in the finance processes and systems.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant who demonstrates an ambitious approach and desire to step up beyond this role in time. Exposure to the construction sector would be highly desirable, but consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate an aptitude to learn swiftly and roll their sleeves up in a fast-paced commercial environment. You will demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills which suits a business where you are required to explain financial information to a range of non-finance colleagues on a daily basis.
