Your new company
You will be working for a start-up, B corp food business with a turnover of circa £10 million and 30 employees. The business has doubled its turnover from last year and is set to double again next year. They are looking for a qualified accountant to take on a Financial Controller role, heading up the finance team and reporting directly to the CEO. You will be based in a modern co-working space with an on-site gym and free food and drinks.

Your new role
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Line management of an Accounts Assistant
  • Day-to-day running of the finance function
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Business partnering with the CEO & other stakeholders
  • Ad hoc project work and financial analysis

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant who is keen to take on a broad Financial Controller role. You will have previously worked within the retail/wholesale (or similar) space, with experience of stock or inventory. Experience of working in a start-up or SME business would also be beneficial.
