Your new company
You will be joining in a pivotal role within a family run and successful business that has been operating for over 60 years. Due to changes within the business, they are now looking to appoint a Financial Controller on a full-time permanent basis.
Your new role
As the stand-alone Financial Controller, you will be working closely with the Director(s) and management team of the company providing them with financial information required to make appropriate strategic and operational decisions for the business. This role is also supported by an Accounts Assistant.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Monthly management accounts
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Annual statutory accounts including liaising with external auditors and dealing with queries
- Overseeing payroll including the processing of monthly salaries
- Credit control
- Being the first point of contact for suppliers/customers/bankers/auditors etc
- Implementing and driving financial process and system improvements
- Adhoc project work

Please note, this is a full-time permanent position based 100% in the office.
What you'll need to succeed
You will either be a QBE or qualified accountant who has the confidence to work independently and be able to work with and report into the Director(s) of the business. You will need to be inquisitive, a strong team player and a self-driven individual. It is an advantage if you have experience in a similar role within a small to medium sized business, but it is not essential.
