A rapidly growing retail group.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will focus on the financial management of a £300m asset base. This will include financial reporting and analysis, Capex and cash flow analysis and the improvement of processes and controls. Key responsibilities will include: The preparation of monthly Fixed Asset Registers and Reconciliation to trial balances at Country and entity level. The capitalisation of assets under construction, liaising with Project Managers to clear aged items. Journals to capitalise capital expenditure. Running depreciation reports and improving internal controls. Ensuring adherence to IFRS accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements. Supporting group reporting requirements. Enhancing existing reporting and developing business capability and interpretation of key operational performance metrics. The day to day management of a team of part qualified analysts.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant with strong technical skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders across the business. You will enjoy improving processes and controls and leading a small team of staff. You will be available to start quickly and happy to commit to an initial six month contract.
