You will be working for the Southampton office of this successful and established multi-office practice based in Hampshire.
They are looking for a full-time Accounts Department Manager who is seeking to progress their career with the ability to manage their own workload efficiently without supervision to ensure the continued smooth operation of the office. This role will ideally suit someone with a wide range of experience in all aspects of accountancy who has excellent attention to technical detail.
The successful candidate will be ACA / ACCA qualified with experience in preparing and reviewing accounts to a very high standard, ideally with some knowledge of auditing small and medium-sized companies. They will be able to work and self-manage within strict budgets and deadlines and be able to supervise and provide support to junior and less qualified members of the team as required. A working knowledge of IRIS would be helpful.
Part of your remit will also be to work as part of the leadership team to ensure the office runs in a smooth and efficient manner and be a positive influence on the entire office, so you will enjoy taking responsibility and undertaking technical research as required in order to assist the partners and advise clients.
