The Head of Finance will report to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for providing professional leadership of the Finance team delivering all elements of a high-quality finance service across the department. They will also have a finance leadership role across the Finance community; sitting on the Finance Executive team they will make a significant contribution to the organisation's strategic agenda and the development of the finance service.
The ideal candidate must have demonstrable skills and experience in developing and implementing business and financial strategies, be a professionally qualified accountant or qualified by equivalent substantial experience, have exceptional political awareness, significant experience of managing a business orientated finance function at a senior level, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret, present and communicate complex financial information to colleagues of all disciplines in an enthusiastic and proactive manner.
