Senior Financial Controller

Hays are working exclusively on a great new role with a market leading medical device manufacturing company with a worldwide presence ; their strapline is Healing the brain one pulse at a time. They are private equity backed.
The role is the Senior Financial Controller, the challenging number 1 finance role for this division which works across UK and US (both countries are looked after by the West Wales based team). It is a very hands on role. Longer term Director prospects.

Together with the finance team, you will be responsible for all regular accounting and reporting within the division. To include month end, quarterly and year end processes, budgeting and forecasting and cashflow management.

Duties will include:

-Preparation of monthly management accounts for each trading entity and to Group consolidated level to report Divisional
-Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with their growth objectives
-Establish and monitor strategic finance KPI metrics, identify areas of improvement, and optimise cash flow and working capital
-Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
-Lead the preparation and consolidation of annual budget and reforecast to include setting the labour recovery calculations
-Manage the annual financial audit including tax and R&D tax credit calculations
-Prepare and submit all statutory returns
-Manage external stakeholder relationships e.g. tax, banking, audit, etc
-Manage insurance policies and coverage
-Oversight, training, and development of Group Finance Department
-Work with team to cleanup balance sheet discrepancies and reconcile

I am looking for a talented qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) who has the ability to work well with non-financial members of the team of all levels, has excellent organisational and problem solving skills, is of course numerate and analytical with strong IT skills and particularly proficient in Microsoft Suite. Must be enthusiastic, motivated and have a can do attitude.

Have you Minimum of 5+ years PQE - along with a minimum of 5+ years managing a finance team? Have you experience in forecasting and building financial models and creating high quality documentation for internal and external stakeholders?
