Job Details
The role:
A career within the US & Debt Capital Markets proposition team within Capital Markets will provide you with the opportunity to work on a variety of different types of transaction and workstream with high profile clients across a range of industries.
As a Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Writing and reviewing transaction documents (e.g., prospectuses, registration statements and offering memorandums) and comfort letters for our clients.
- Supporting PwC audit teams and clients on complex US GAAP accounting matters and GAAP conversions.
- Identifying critical risks and working as part of a team to address them;
- Interaction with client management and other transaction stakeholders to assure and advise on financial information in transaction documents and understand areas such as financial reporting processes, historical and projected business performance and wider commercial issues;
- Managing teams on a variety of engagements, taking ownership of all aspects of delivery, programme and team management, monitoring commercial performance and quality;
- Working alongside senior levels of management, bankers, lawyers and other advisers. Collaborating in teams with other parts of PwC as part of a larger project environment; and
- Developing internal and external networks and adopting a business development mindset to drive the growth of our business. This includes involvement in targeting initiatives - helping to identify, pursue and convert a pipeline of business.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Chartered / certified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS & UK ACCA)
- Strong report writing and data analytical skills
- Strong English language skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Strong client relationship management
- Experience with US GAAP
- Strong team management ability, including managing teams, coaching, sharing knowledge and collaborating with others, as well as contributing to a positive team spirit
- Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of client-facing project-based work
- Strong project management skills and experience in dealing with changing deadlines, ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing work environment with evolving demands
- Track record of performing high quality work and exhibiting close attention to detail, whilst assimilating information quickly and dealing with ambiguity in a time sensitive environment
- Excellent communication skills (questioning and listening)
- Ability to navigate, understand and apply the relevant capital market rules and regulations applicable in the US
- Motivation to help drive the growth of the Capital Markets team
