Our client is a well-established company who takes pride in being a leading trade supplier in their specialist sector. They have one of the widest product ranges in the industry and all products are manufactured across three locations with two additional sites to include their service centre and trade counter. As they embark on an exciting period of transformation, they are committed to upholding our core values and enhancing our processes to maintain consistent quality and exceptional service.
Your new role
With strong staff retention, they have had an excellent opportunity for a confident Finance Manager to join their established finance team, mainly based in Wellingborough. The position will be fully site based to manage, drive and support a small team of four in finance. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of four in transactional finance and payroll
- Full consolidated month end accounting
- Manage the cashflow and budgeting and forecasting
- Variance analysis
- P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Monthly payroll and Director's payroll
- Presentation of management information to relevant managers
What you'll need to succeed
The right person for the position will be fully qualified, with a demonstrable background working for an SME, managing a team in finance. They will have a ‘hands on' management style and enjoy investing and supporting others. It is essential that they have confidence in management and financial accounting and enjoy partnering with internal and external stakeholders, presenting data. Experience working on Sage Line 50 would be advantageous.
