Job Details
We are looking for a Junior Digital Learning Developer to join the Global Assurance Quality - Learning and Education (GAQ - L&E) team based in London, on a 24 month Fixed-Term Contract. The successful candidate will report into the GAQ - L&E Learning Design and Digital Production Lead.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build skills as a learning developer. No prior experience in this area is required, though the successful candidate must have an interest in, and strong aptitude for technology and be able to give examples to demonstrate this. Coaching, supervision and review will be provided by more experienced team members to support upskilling into the role.
Key aspects of the role include
Development of digital learning solutions
- Creating new / updating existing elearns and assessments using industry standard authoring tools
- Reviewing build documentation to ensure it meets requirements prior to commencing build and proactively escalating if not
- Managing the deployment process to the Learning Management System (including providing required details to the deployment team and performing related quality assurance testing)
- Providing multimedia specifications to vendors (e.g. graphics designs, video production companies etc) for inclusion in eLearn.
Creating and / or editing multimedia assets
- Creating simple images and / or making minor edits to graphics
- Recording and editing audio
- Creating, editing and publishing videos and animations
Performing quality control procedures
- Critically self-reviewing own work to correct any errors
- Process online review comments raised by others and work with reviewers to resolve comments including proactively reaching out when clarification is needed
- Spot-checking work of peers and provide them with comments
- Performing technical testing of elearns and assessments
Coordinate own tasks
- Keep track of required tasks and timelines
- Proactively communicate status and flag potential challenges in a timely manner
Role Requirements
The following skills are required for this role:
- Aptitude for technology and ability to autonomously learn new tools quickly
- Ability to learn and effectively use a range of tools: GOMO, Rise, Storyline, Atlas Cloud, Captivate, Premiere, After Effects, Audacity, and Vyond
- Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with all team members
- Highly organised and able to work to defined timelines
- Applies a high level of attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure
