A successful and growing FMCG group in Manchester.
Your new role
A 12 month Fixed Term Contract covering a key Senior Group Financial Accountant role, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. The role will include. Monthly reporting for 3 Holding Companies including month end reconciliations to support balance sheet items, Monthly consolidation of 13 entities within Excel, Collation of the Monthly Management Information Packs and support in preparation of the Monthly Board Papers, including P&Ls, balance sheet, cash flow position and other Group KPIs. To include full management of this process ensuring required timescales and deadlines are adhered to and communicated internally, Responsibility for monitoring ongoing Covenant compliance; reporting to the bank and Board on a quarterly basis, Preparation of Group accounts under IFRS and statutory accounts for 2 UK subsidiaries under FRS101. Preparation of Half Year accounts. Input to the Front end of the Annual Report and Accounts and Investor Presentations in relation to disclosed financial information. Being the key point of contact with Group auditors, including project management of timetable, ensuring local finance teams are providing deliverables on a timely basis and deadlines are being met. Responsibility for Group compliance with accounting standards and implementation of Group accounting policies across all subsidiaries. Submission of Statutory filings for subsidiary companies to Companies House. Collation of annual Budgets and interim reforecasts, coordinating with other finance team members to achieve a consolidated Budget position, to include management of this process ensuring required timescales and deadlines are communicated internally and adhered to. Responsibility for the final stages of the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the new Consolidation System, to ensure smooth integration and operation of this new system. Managing the cash position of Holding Companies. Providing ad-hoc support to the Group Financial Controller, Group CFO and Group CEO on financial analysis for investors and the Board, and other ad-hoc projects as they arise.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant and possess strong technical accounting knowledge (ideally including IFRS experience). You will be confident and assertive, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with people at all levels. You will be determined to go the extra mile to achieve results. The position requires someone who is highly computer literate, with excellent Excel skills. Effective organizational ability and time management skills are crucial, and you must be able to work to tight deadlines.
