Your new company
A well known Public Sector organisation offers hybrid working arrangements with hybrid working options available ranging from 1 day a month to 1 day a week in the office, depending on the individual's base location.
Your new role:
This role is the number 2 within the Audit team, reporting to the Head of Audit and Risk and will manage and supervise the Audit team, overseeing and undertaking a range of Operational and Financial Council Audits.
The Deputy Head of Internal Audit will undertake a complex portfolio of work, including more complex Council contracts, commissioning, fraud and governance investigations, risk management, value for money consultancy-type assignments and open-book reviews of external partners' records.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally hold ACA, ACCA, CIA or an equivalent qualification.
You should have a number of years working within Internal or External Audit, ideally within the Public Sector or similar organisation, where you have gained some staff management experience. You could be at Audit Manager level or Principal Auditor level and looking for a step-up to the next level.
You will have excellent communication skills.
