Financial Controller / Finance Manager

Your new company
You will be working for an organisation with charitable status but who operate commercially as well. They are a large organisation with an income of around 10M per annum.
Your new role
You will be supporting the Finance Director across a number of areas including management, accounting, financial accounting and systems and processes improvement.
The organisation's financial year-end is coming up in January, so you will be supporting the team and ensuring the timely collation of the financial information for year-end submission for the charity
Experience of charity accounting could be very beneficial, but client is flexible on sector background.
The Finance Director is also looking for a review of the management accounting side, reviewing processes for the production of the monthly management accounts, looking at potential process improvements and efficiencies to speed up the time for production of the monthly management reports. Using Excel
Finally, looking at their current ERP system and reviewing it and potentially looking at alternatives.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant.
Experience at Financial controller level, or Senior Finance Manager, etc. Perhaps, from an audit background, it could be very beneficial when reviewing the processes for them. And supporting with Audit in January
Ideally, some experience of charity accounting / Charity SORP
Ability to make improvements to processes across a number of financial processes, mainly management accounts and using Excel
Can deliver change
Strong user of Excel

There is a rate on offer around £300-350 p/day, and we can offer PAYE or Umbrella company pay types

The contract is expected to be 4 months long at least
Hybrid Working is available - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home, ideally.
