Head of Finance

Your new company
You will be joining a privately owned organisation with a hugely successful track record of over 40 years of ethical and environmentally minded operating. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be working as the Head of Finance, taking responsibility for the finance team, and delivering accurate & timely financial information to the business.
You will be working within a friendly, professional team, splitting your time to work in their modern, spacious offices in North-West Dorset and working from home. They are offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package, with ample free on-site parking.

Your new role
You will enjoy working in a varied hands-on role, which will involve production of monthly management accounts, budgeting, business analysis and modelling, and business partnering with departmental managers. You will be able to lead, coach and inspire the finance team and through 121s and team meetings, both keep them informed and continue to build the finance team's capability. You will also be able to take a lead on projects and help drive change and continuous improvement across the business, including systems and process improvements. You will also ensure that internal financial controls are robust and will take ownership of the annual audit activity and the statutory reporting requirements under UKGAAP.

What you'll need to succeed
Due to the wide scope of the role, it would suit someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and use their broad skills gained across financial closes, management accounting, financial reporting, and analysis etc. You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with proven people leadership experience and a resilient, positive attitude. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact and gain respect and trust at all levels. Ideally, you will have worked in a dynamic, complex/multi-site organisation previously.
