Your new company
An excellent national Accounting Practice that is looking for a Tax Adviser to join their healthcare team. This organisation has won multiple industry awards, such as National Firm of the Year, Tax team of the Year, Graduate and has, the gold standard accreditation from Investors in People. This role will cover tax services to a large portfolio of GPs, hospital doctors and consultants and dentists.
Your new role
- Prepare and generate tax returns using tax software
- Send chasing letters to client if required, address any queries
- Prepare letter to client, detailing liabilities and any tax saving opportunities
- Send letter and tax return to client for signature; log information sent and submit to HMRC
- Inform client of tax liabilities; agree these to HMRC statement on account
- Coach junior staff on work delegated
- Identify tax planning opportunities as appropriate
- To assist clients to process financial information.
- Complete VAT returns for allocated clients.
- To assist with the completion of NHS pensions certificates of pensionable profits for GP clients
- Meet deadlines and time budgets.
- Develop and maintain good client relations
- Request information from the client or audit team
- Work through the information and assess the tax impact of each piece of information
What you'll need to succeed
- At least three years + experience in an accounting practice within a personal tax team.
- ATT Qualified or undertaking CTA qualification.
- Experience with demonstrable knowledge of producing personal tax returns.
- Strong IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel, to an intermediate level, to produce letters and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of tax software such as CCH
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Organised and methodical.

- Ability to operate strict deadlines and handle conflicting priorities.
