Your new company
A growing SME with ambitious plans seek to appoint a hands-on Controller to support the Finance Director.
Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing accurate and timely financial information to senior management.
As a financial controller, you will:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the accounting staff, including the financial ledgers, and cash management
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements in line with FRS102
- Analyse financial data and identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, and monitor performance against targets
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial information
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other stakeholders as required
- Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and other departments on strategic planning, business decisions, and problem-solving
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a hands on accountant with proven experience at a controllership level. You will be a strong people leader and demonstrate excellent time management skills. You will be comfortable working in the office on a daily basis.
