Management Accountant

Management Accountant - Retail Sector - 12 months contract

Are you an experienced management accountant looking for a new challenge in the retail sector? Do you have strong analytical and communication skills, as well as a keen eye for detail? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
My client is a leading retailer within their space across the UK and internationally, offering a wide range of products and services to our customers. They are looking for a management accountant on a 12-month contract to join the finance team and support our business growth and profitability.

As a management accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports
• Providing financial insight and advice to senior management and stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining financial models and systems
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
• Supporting internal and external audits and tax compliance
• Working collaboratively with other departments and functions

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in management accounting, preferably in the retail sector
• Excellent Excel skills
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We offer:

• A competitive salary in the range of £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
• A hybrid working arrangement, with the option to work from home or from our office in Cheltenham
