Our client is well established practice based in South Oxfordshire, that have recently relinquished their audit registration to concentrate on our core business of owner managed businesses. They are looking for an individual to join their friendly and welcoming team to take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of clients. Their team comprises two directors, a payroll team, an accounts and tax team and a support team. The vacancy exists in the accounts and tax team which currently comprises three managers, three accounts seniors and two trainees. The candidate will report to the managers.

Your new role

Our client is looking for an accountant with a strong practice background to join their office in East Hendred, South Oxfordshire. They are seeking someone who is ACA or ACCA. On successful completion of their probationary period the candidate will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of clients. This will comprise limited companies, partnerships, sole traders and individuals. The candidate will be the main contact for these clients and will provide all necessary accounting, corporation tax and personal tax services to them.

What you\'ll need to succeed

You will be fully qualified. You'll have practice experience and you'll be adept at working to deadlines and be able to prioritize your varied workload. A self-starter with the ability to work independently is crucial. You'll also possess a solid understanding of tax and be familiar with accounting IT packages (CCH and Xero). You'll be a true team player who will engage with the social side of working life.
