About the role
Our NetSuite business here at PwC UK within our Enterprise Business Applications (EBA) practice has seen some significant growth and prospects over the last few months, and we are looking to grow our capabilities further to meet market demands.
Our NetSuite practice is engaged in helping small to medium-sized entities deliver successful NetSuite-based implementations and transformations, along with helping existing customers on NetSuite optimise and make the most of their investment in technology.
As a manager within our NetSuite practice, you'll work with the latest technologies and iconic companies on projects that are driving the future of those organisations. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a new and growing team and to progress your skills and career, with development opportunities across our risk and advisory business as well as broader business skills.
Being mobile is essential, as you'll work on client projects that could be anywhere in the UK, but we will fully support hybrid working where possible. The same goes for your skill set: intellectually curious, dynamic, and the ability to challenge traditional approaches to deliver real transformation. Ultimately, an open mind to take advantage of all of the opportunities on offer is essential.
As part of PwC's risk practice, you will have the privilege of acting as a trusted advisor to a diverse and expansive client base spanning multiple geographies and industries. This means that we have a real opportunity to enhance and refine our clients' businesses through the use of ever-evolving technology. Of course, this will only be possible if we have the right people with the right skills and the ability to push the boundaries of how new technologies can support future business models.
That's where you come in. As a lead functional consultant, you will blend a breadth of solution architect knowledge and hands-on experience with the Netsuite cloud ERP solution.
The Responsibilities
Our managers care passionately about the development of our people and deliver exceptional client value. In particular, you will be responsible for:
Delivery:
- Managing anywhere between 2-3 NetSuite implementation or optimisation projects simultaneously across industry verticals and business process areas as the lead functional consultant;
- Owning 2-3 full-cycle NetSuite ERP implementations from a technical, functional, and/or organisational change management standpoint;
- Participating in business process mapping, including process analysis and design, gap analysis, functional system design and specifications, system configuration, and the development of system tests, procedures, and documentation;
- Analysing business/technical requirements and objectives, performing fit/gap analysis, and providing recommendations;
- Reporting to a Director or Senior Manager, you will deliver NetSuite-related work to a varied portfolio of organisations in the UK across different targeted industries;
- Pushing the boundaries of what is possible, creating and leading new ideas and concepts through to fruition, and
- Building and maintaining deep and long-lasting relationships with client personnel
Pre-sales and Business Development:
- Help with business development activities, including writing client proposals, facilitating our show home or model office, preparing and delivering client pitches with support from the team;
- Helping build our work pipeline alongside our dedicated partner and director teams and helping deliver on our growth aspirations; and
- building and maintaining deep and long-lasting relationships with different clients and internal stakeholders.
Mentoring and coaching:
- Developing the careers of the teams working with and reporting to you; and
- Raising the profile of the team externally by expanding the network, including with external bodies.
- We require experienced and credible individuals with the following:
The essentials
- Strong NetSuite ERP knowledge and experience in delivering NetSuite optimisation and greenfield implementations;
- Should have strong exposure to finance and projects module processes implementation with multi-company multi-books, revenue recognition, and currency structure;
- Knowledge of NetSuite integrations with third-party systems;
- A strong track record of involvement in NetSuite implementations with experience as a NetSuite Functional Consultant;
- Exposure to pre-sales and business development activities around NetSuite;
- Ability to document all engagements, including the creation of design documents, technical specifications, process documentation, specification, system deployment documents, system integration, and interface documents, and publish reports as necessary; and
- Ability to provide key decision support, monitor issues and risks, and create mitigation plans for clients.
- Industry experience: at least 4-6 projects within the software, financial services, life sciences, advertising, media and publishing, retail, and hospitality verticals.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Excellent track record of managing and successfully delivering multiple NetSuite implementation projects across different industries; and
- Good process knowledge of NetSuite solutions across key financial areas
- Proven leadership qualities with a natural focus on team enhancement and growth
- A thorough understanding of how digital technology is changing finance and businesses more broadly over the short, medium, and long term;
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with a focus on the ability to influence and drive change through complex organisations;
- A business and finance process-oriented mind-set that can seamlessly switch between technology and finance/business concepts; and
- Creative, inquisitive, and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
