Your new company
You will be working for an organisation which supports the needs of local residents and for an organisation which has a significant number of projects planned. This means your role will extend beyond day to day management and financial accounting. Your new role
Within this varied and interesting role you will be responsible for, supporting the budgeting and monitoring of the capital programme, maintaining the asset register, undertaking year-end accounting processing and overseeing the accounts payable team, ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner.
During the course of your role, you will ensure adherence to IFRS requirements, prepare and monitor capital budgets, ensure compliance with internal policies and provide management information and accounting support on capital project matters. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of financial accounts. In addition, you will support more junior members of the team, taking a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a relevant qualification such as CIPFA, ACCA, CA and you will have proven experience in a similar role. You will also have a good knowledge of legislative requirements, accounting codes of practice and be up-to-date with all accounting and technical developments. Alongside this, you will have good organisation skills and the ability to explain financial information and concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
Given the varied nature of this role, you will need both good time management and organisational skills and will be able to show flexibility and adaptability. Lastly, you will have good systems knowledge and maintaining complex spreadsheets will be a key part of this role.

The standard working hours are 9-5 (35 hour week) and you will also receive good holidays & pension.
