Project Accountant

Your new company
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company based in South Oxfordshire. The purpose of the role is to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, collaborating with finance staff across the company and supporting the management accounting service.


Your new role
As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure turnover and profit are accurately assessed in line with accounting standards each month
• Prepare and review accruals, invoice schedules and invoices
• Assist in preparation of accurate financial results and commentaries
• Provide financial advice and make recommendations to all levels and ensure compliance with financial procedures
• Production of monthly project/contract summary reports & governance checks for business lines
• Support with completion of annual budget and any forecasts required
• Report and explain variances between budgets and forecasts

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate you will need:

• Stakeholder management experience with the ability to confidently manage and prioritise deadlines
• Experience delivering results under tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience presenting to stakeholders and clients
