Your new company
Working across the region, this charitable organisation is currently going through an extensive transformation programme, and they are currently looking for a Financial Controller to support the business, reporting into the Director of Finance.
Your new role
This role is key in managing the day to day running of the finance team, responsible for all financial and accounting activities. This will include:
- Management of the day-to-day operations of the finance team consisting of 4 people, delivering data and information to a tight month end and year-end timetable.
- Ensure that the financial systems are effective while robust controls are in place. Managing year-end audit and ensuring financial records are up-to-date
- Prepare annual reporting and financial statements in line with the organisations expectations
- Ensure that management reporting to a variety of stakeholders is upheld and delivered on time.
- Support the ongoing strategic and transformation initiatives
- Deputise for the Finance Director where required.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant that has strong technical skills that can manage the team. You should have strong people skills and be able to liaise with people across the organisation. You should have strong IT skills and be fully supportive of the work the trust are doing. We are looking for someone to start in the coming month, so ideally you will be immediately available or available to start on short notice.
What you'll get in return
The client is offering hybrid working, competitive salary depending on experience on a 35-hour week contract for a period of 12 months. There is also an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right person.
