Private Client Tax Manager
Our client is an independent firm of chartered accountants for SME owner managed businesses and regulated organisations operating in the professional, property, building, construction, technology, not for profit, and retail sectors.
Due to business expansion, customer demand and accelerated growth, our client is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager.
Reporting to the partners, responsibilities will include:
• Managing the firm's portfolio of self-assessment tax clients including personal
tax, partnerships, and trusts
• Time and fees management
• Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
including client liaison
• New client business generation and onboarding
• Review work performed by the tax team
• Monitoring of private client returns cases including personal tax, partnerships,
and trusts
• Ensuring annual information requests are sent to clients in an accurate and
timely manner
• Communicate with clients, partners, and colleagues to progress assignments
and resolve queries
• Supervision, assistance, and mentoring of junior tax staff
• Assisting with business development
Skills Required:
• 5 years post-qualified or qualified by experience AAT/ACA/ACCA/CTA
• Good working knowledge and proficient use of tax software (IRIS
advantageous)
• Ability to work autonomously
• Attention to detail and deadline-driven
• Hands-on approach and willingness to go the extra mile
• Experience of working with SME/owner-managed businesses
• Collaborative team-player
• Management and supervision
• Business development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
