Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month FTC Financial Controller, reporting to the Finance Director and leading a small team of staff. You will provide accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your own ideas and experience to the role and to bring quality and consistency to the management reporting. This will require a positive ‘can-do' attitude and an ability to challenge current ways of working where appropriate. Responsibilities will include: The preparation and review of timely management accounts with variance commentary. Reconciliations to commercial finance weekly numbers. The production of annual budgets and regular forecasts. The production of annual statutory accounts at year end. Managing the audit process with external auditors. The preparation of tax packs for the external tax team. Promoting financial understanding and control within the business as a whole. Quarterly VAT returns. Managing the PO process. Leading and managing the finance team. Supporting the FD with timely and accurate financial information, as required.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant, with experience of a broad Financial Controller role. This position will suit a professional, confident individual who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment. Previous experience within a financial control and management accounting role is essential, as is experience of dealing with auditors and producing Statutory Accounts. You will also be highly IT literate with strong Excel skills. Able to start in the next 4 weeks, you'll be happy to commit to a 12 month contract.
