Job Details
Audit Transformation (AT) continues to play an increasingly critical role in evolving how we deliver our external audit services, in response to both internal and external opportunities and challenges, in order to:
- Continue to enhance the quality of the work we do;
- Lower the cost of delivery; and
- Evolve the working experience of our partners and staff
To help drive transformation efforts, and better support our business through this transformation, AT is seeking an experienced Mendix Developer to help with new and ongoing projects.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Work with the business and key stakeholders to contribute to the development of new and existing enterprise and mission critical products considering best practices (security, scalability, availability performance)
- Contribute to process definition and deliver documentation for the development and delivery of Mendix Products
- Develop custom integrations for internal firm's services
- Actively participate in projects across full SDLC
- Support live systems
- Produce and maintain documentation
- Participate in firm-wide low-code working groups
- Gain exposure to senior leadership within Audit
- Lead a growing team of Mendix developers, developing the capabilities of the team.
- Work flexibly from their base location anywhere in the UK.
You will be one of the first Mendix Developers in our team of data and automation specialists, with a focus on building Mendix skills within the team and sharing knowledge. You can expect a highly varied role, working in an environment consisting of a wide range of technologies with a lot of room for innovation. A big part of the role is education, advocacy and consultancy within and outside of the team.
Successful candidates will have / be:
- Mendix Rapid Developer certification
- Proficiency in Javascript and T-SQL
- Demonstrated experience with delivering wireframes, design mockups, vision boarding, user workflows, functional specifications, and style guides
- Experience and solid understanding of various integration techniques with Mendix Platform
- Experience of working in an Agile Software Development model
- A solid understanding of HTTP model
- A solid understanding of HTML, CSS and Bootstrap
- Knowledge in object oriented or model driven development
- Working knowledge of Git and SVN
- RDBMS: SQL Server, Azure SQL
- Experience of leading teams
Highly desirable but not essential in all circumstances:
- Intermediate Developer certification
- Experience as a designer or front-end developer
- Knowledge of distributed enterprise systems concepts and design (scalability, reliability, security)
- Proficiency in .NET C#, Powershell, JAVA
- Experience with MS Azure, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS / GKS)
- Big 4 or corporate experience in a similar role
- Experience or certification in Alteryx or other data tools
- Experience in using Power BI, Tableau or other visualisation tools
This role offers the potential for flexible working. It is expected only minimal travel would be required. This position can be offered on a permanent or fixed-term (i.e. secondment) basis.
