Your new company
This role will suit a high calibre Finance Manager with excellent technical skills and a strong desire to drive improvements in reporting, process and controls. A key objective will be to ensure that financial control is maintained with a key focus on cash management and cash forecasting. The Finance Manager will drive accurate and timely reporting, enabling decision support and accurate forecasting. You will be joining an industry-leading business, with scope for long-term career progression.
Your new role
- Manage a small team to produce the monthly overhead management accounts, including detailed variance analysis to budget/forecast and managing key balance sheet reconciliations.
- Develop and produce meaningful financial modelling and analysis, particularly focussing on cash management and forecasting.
- Working with finance teams to ensure a complete and accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow.
- Manage the month end group submission and reconciliations via Cognos.
- Partner business leaders in understanding and controlling their cost centres.
- Support with the consolidated forecast and budget process.
- Work with head of Transaction Services to report cash performance against a rolling cash forecast.
- Support Finance Director in the production of monthly Board packs.
- Lead annual external audit process and support on statutory accounts production.
- Take ownership for all statutory requirements.
- Ensure that financial controls and processes are in place & maintained.
- Develop and maintain relationships with members of the Finance team across the group to ensure connected and efficient working as one team.
- Work with group functions to manage tax and treasury requirements when necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with minimum 3 years post qualified experience
- Reporting experience with the ability to instil robust controls.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A technical grounding gained in practice or industry.
- Strong technical accounting skills and audit mindset.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills – working with colleagues across the broader group.
- Positive and determined attitude – you'll be someone who likes to take ownership.
