Are you an experienced Senior Bookkeeper looking to work in a role 100% home working / remote based where you can work from home for the majority of the time? Are you looking to work for a niche accountancy firm that specialises in working with high profile international and UK based Fashion, Media, Film, TV and Fine Art clients? Are you looking for a role where you can spend most of the time working from home, but may be required to go into the office on a pre agreed ad hoc basis (no more than once a month)? Are you keen to oversee a small bookkeeping department for a niche, growing and profitable accountancy firm with a very interesting and unique high net worth client base? Your role will be varied and will include: reporting directly to the owners of the business, having a hands on role (with no client contact – all client contact is carried out by the Partners), preparing the full range of bookkeeping tasks for clients (Trial Balance, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, Sales and Purchase Ledger, making Payments, Banking etc), preparation of VAT returns, management accounts (if you have experience) and reviewing work prepared by other staff members (mainly statutory accounts which are prepared overseas). Your role will be varied and challenging, and there will be many exciting growth opportunities in the future. The firm uses modern cloud based software including Xero and Dext. The firm would also consider someone looking to work 4 days a week but their preference is full time.
To be considered for this newly created home working based role (September 2023) you must be an experienced Senior Bookkeeper and looking for a home working / remote based role, where you will be required to go into the firms office on a pre agreed basis (eg once a month). You must be fully AAT qualified and being ACA qualified would be an advantage but not essential. You must currently be working for a good quality UK based accountancy firm with experience of the above duties, particularly bookkeeping and VAT returns and experience of management accounts would be an advantage. Experience of preparing or reviewing statutory accounts would also be desirable. You must have an interest in working with high net worth individuals and businesses based in the Fashion, Media, Film, TV and Fine Art sectors. Experience of a wide range of cloud based software packages is also required. You must now be looking to upgrade to an entrepreneurial and modern boutique accountancy firm which will offer you many learning opportunities and the ability to work in a high profile, varied and rewarding new home working based position.
