Are you keen to work in a very good quality firm with excellent development opportunities and future progression on offer? In this newly created role due to the firm winning lots of new clients from larger firms, your role will be split up to 50% audit assignments (they are flexible and the role will likely be between 30% and 50% audit), 40% statutory accounts & corporation tax and 10% ad hoc projects. Based in a general practice role in a good quality traditional accountancy firm with around 50 staff, you will be responsible for: Leading audit assignments from planning to completion, preparing statutory accounts from start to finish, preparing corporation tax computations, managing workflow, liaising with clients, reporting to Manager and Partners, and reviewing work of more junior staff. You will deal with client queries, technical research, HMRC queries and also be responsible for supervising junior staff and reviewing their work. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great future progression prospects on offer. You will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, including groups, from sectors including media, property, legal, financial services, technology, renewable energy, retail and other interesting sectors. The firm would look at a good quality candidate operating at either Senior or Supervisor / Assistant Manager level. This firm has had great success with people who have trained outside of London and want to relocate to a London firm for the exposure and opportunities on offer. The firm offers hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home (and often 3 days home working).
To be considered for this new role (September 2023) you must have at least three years experience, probably in a small or medium size accountancy firm and be fully ACA qualified OR you might be from a larger firm background and looking to join a smaller firm where you can carry out a mixed role and achieve a better work life balance including hybrid working. You must have experience of leading audit assignments from planning to completion, preparing statutory accounts and tax returns, reviewing work and working in an advisory capacity to clients. Experience of a wide range of software packages would be an advantage as is a desire to work in a mixed general practice role. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace. The firm welcomes applications from candidates looking to relocate to London from another UK based practice firm.
